(Drupal 4.7 - fresh install- and flexinode CVS)
Created a content type with only one required image field.
When creating new node of this type, after providing a valid file and submitting the form i ever get a "field is required" and the upload filed is blank.
I look in my temp directory and find a temp file that correspond to my uploaded file.

Can anyone help me ?

A few thoughts:

1. In your experiment, did you fill in the title field?

2. What happens if you don't make the image field required?

3. You might have a boundary condition with only one field. You might want to try adding a text field, just to test that. (I assume you will want to add more fields at some point, else there is no reason for this content type.)

I just created a flexinode with an image, and it works fine, but it does have other fields.

Just saw this bug, which relates to using the "required" flag on file fields. At the bottom, there seems to be a patch.
