Flag Hide & Mute

Flag, Hide & Mute is a module for site administrators to configure flags --as in the Flag module-- for the following purposes.

1. Provide users with hide this post links.
Configurable per role and per content type, this option is particularly useful for announcements, advertisements and alerts posted to the site, usually as content that is promoted to the front page. You want your users to see these posts at least once, but you don't want the posts to become annoying. Through Flag, Hide & Mute users in privileged roles may click the Hide this link on enabled content to make it disappear (for them only) from that page as well as any other page showing it.

2. Display on each user account a mute this user link.
Clicking the link will filter out to the person clicking the link, all content and comments written by the muted user. Who are marked for muting is entirely up to the individual. It won't affect any other users, nor will it stop the designated "foes" from posting further content. It merely hides from the muter current and future posts by those they have muted.

Note that you may use the above two flags in "global" mode too. In this case when a privileged user hides a post or muzzles a user, that post or user will be hidden from everyone.

3. In addition to the node and user hiding functionality, site administrators may also opt to suppress empty block markup and to suppress titles of Views that are empty. These suppression functions do not require flags or the Flag module.
