With Imagefield 3.0 beta 2 and Filefield 3.0 beta 2 I have tried to upload a jpg but it says "The selected file jpg. could not be uploaded. Only files with the following extensions are allowed: jpg jpeg png gif."
I would attach the image to this post, but the same error occurs here!
Perhaps this will work for reproducing the problem --> Rename a jpg file to "测试" and try uploading it with Imagefield.

quicksketchCan you add a .jpg extension to the file and see if it works? "测试.jpg" I'm not sure if this is normal for Chinese files or not.

OneTwoTait commentedYes, it does have a jpg extension on it. I thought all jpg files had jpg extensions.

quicksketchWell, that's what I was checking. :)
As a work-around, you might be able to install the transliteration module, but if the JavaScript checking is preventing the upload to begin with this'll need to be fixed at that level also.

OneTwoTait commentedIt worked! All I did was install Transliteration, try again with the same file and it worked.
Thanks.

quicksketchGreat! That's why it's a recommended module on the project page. Perhaps it should be made a required module with how often this comes up.
