I installed 6.x-3.0-beta and ran update.php. I'm using Drupal 6.10 and CCK 6.x-2.1.
After installing, I created a File field for a CCK node type and set the "Maximum upload size per file" to 10M, and enabled the description field. However, when I edit a node, the max size is still 2M, and the description field does not appear.

surgeonbor commentedI noticed that the description field shows up after the file has been uploaded, so that's not a bug. However, the file size limit is still broken, which is sort of a big problem for my site.

quicksketch2M is probably your file size upload limit specified in php.ini. Check that your max_upload_size and max_post_size are increased to at least the value of your FileField settings.

surgeonbor commentedThat doesn't seem to be helping. Before I installed this new version of Filefield, it was working correctly. Maybe I'm crazy? Is no one else having this problem?

quicksketchIf you've done any form_altering or theming, I'd suggest removing it temporarily and see if that helps. The form structure has changed slightly since the alpha versions. I tested this again on my local (32M is my php.ini setting) with the following results:
- Blank upload limit: 32M on upload form
- Upload limit 2M: 2M on upload form
- Upload limit 40M: 32M on upload form (since I'm limited by the server cap)
So everything seems to be working on a fresh install.

surgeonbor commentedYep, I edited my php.ini file and it works. Thanks for the help. I'm new to these things - sorry for the trouble.
