Filefields and i18n: different files between transalted nodes

Hi, I am running D5.15 with CCK, Filefields and i18n modules (latest stable version of every module)
I set a content type to have a filefield field and enabled multi-language on this content type.

I create a new node for language A and upload a filefield file.
My problem comes when I click on translation to create the translated node for language B: when I come to the filefield field it is already filled with the previous uploaded file. If I want to upload a different file (as maybe my document for language B is also in a different language) it overwrite the already uploaded file.

Is there a way to avoid this and let me add a different file? Because sometime i could want to share the file between the 2 translated node, and sometime I want to have different files
