I am able to create a folder so permissions should not be an issue.
Clicked on Filedepot and Upload. For some reason the File field is greyed out, so I can't upload a file even though the Parent Folder displays one of the folders I created. What am I doing wrong?

I have the same problem here.

@_randy - What do you mean by "You have flash installed?" Does flash interfere with filedepot or am I missing a supporting module?

The upload is managed by the Yahoo User Interface uploader, which uses a flash object.
So, you'd have to have the latest version of flash to allow the uploader to work properly.

I realize this is a little old but I wanted to see if we could look into it. I also have the same problem (file field on upload is grayed out). I have the most recent flash installed on my browser. I'm using D6 with the most recent release of filedepot on Firefox. Same issue in Chrome, haven't tested others.

If your module installation never worked, then your likely not loading the flashobject needed for the upload widget. You likely have an error that would be seen if you enable the javascript console "browser debugger". Review the installation notes and verify your setup.
