Does anyone know of any other documentation on the Filedepot module beyond the the README.txt file that comes within the download?

I'm having issues with downloading documents that I just uploaded with no problems. I'm getting "Page not Found" error all the time now (and since I've started using Filedepot) when I go to pull down the document (for viewing or editing).

Some more documentation (step-by-step) would be nice.

Thank you,
Brian

I also get File Not Found errors and would really some more documentation in my attempt to fix that. I have updated to v1.0.

@bkmatwa:Is there a specific reason why you are still on rc-4?

Edit: I think I remember that there was a file not found issue with old version and that upgrading was supposed to fix it. See http://drupal.org/node/801066, so we should "upgrade" this issue as well

Putting aside your criticisms, let's discuss your specific issue:

- What have you setup for the base directory for the document repository?
- What is the URL look like that is resulting in the page not found?
- Is the download the only feature not working - does it work from the file details dialog?
- Did it ever work ? possibly another site setting or module install that effects path or drupal menu router function is causing a conflict

Some example filedepot URL's with clean urls not enabled:

http://{siteurl}/index.php?q=filedepot&cid=2 -- will load filedepot and show folder (category 2) file listing

http://{siteurl}/index.php?q=filedepot&fid=12 -- will load filedepot and bring up the file detail dialog for file id 12

http://{siteurl}/index.php?q=filedepot_download/6/2 -- will download file id 2 that is an attachment in node 2. The filedepot module creates a node for folders (filedepot_folder content type) and files are attachments.

If your getting page not found - then something is interfering with the menu router. If a user does not have access to the folder and thus the files within, then they should get 'access denied'

This is not about criticism! I am using this module, because it seems that it is the only file upload/download mechanism that seems to provide comfortable upload/download of files etc. (esp. in comparison to WebFM and File Framework) It actually seems to work and it seems to be in active development.

Right now I have so many issues, however, that I don't really know where to start. Also this is not my issue, so I will open another one. Or several. Let's see. And I am starting a fresh drupal multisite to try it. It just takes a while.

And as I said elsewhere. It might very well be that my issues were caused by an old version, misconfigured installation etc.

Thanks so far for the response and I will try to work thru the list.
