When image/video display format is set to Rendered File or Download link, and the image/video does not existed. When visit the node page, following error will be thrown:

EntityMalformedException: Missing bundle property on entity of type file. in entity_extract_ids() (line 7907 of /Users/xlin/Sites/drupal7/includes/common.inc).

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install file_entity (7.x-2.0-beta3)
  2. Set image display to Rendered file at /admin/structure/types/manage/article/display
  3. Create a Article page with an image
  4. Go to /admin/content/file and delete the image
  5. Go back to the node page
