Image resize filter support?

First off: Thanks for this absolutely great module. I love the way it works with FileField and ImageField!

I'm using ImageField in combination with image_resize_filter. As soon as I enable an alias for my image upload field, that alias is used for the uploaded image.
The image_resize_filter doesn't do it's work, though. The image is just scaled down by the inline style, it's not actually resized.

I'm not really sure if this is an issue with the filter or File Aliases. Some clearing up would be great :-)
