A feature of the Private Download module does not work when File Aliases is enabled on the site. The feature that is affected is supposed to allow files to be displayed in the browser without triggering a download (with a PDF, for example), but when File Aliases is enabled this feature stops working and clicking links to those files result in immediate downloads. I imagine it has to do with setting file headers, but I don't know enough of the code to confirm this.

I'm not entirely sure what has to happen for these modules to work in harmony, so I'm filing issues in both issue queues. See the other issue at: #1653268: inline download behavior does not work with file_aliases module
