1. Setup: Images are 500 x 300 pixels and showing up at 220 x 113. The outer div take has the wrong size.
  2. Content Type: Display options for the field slideshow, the image style is set to Original
  3. Flushed caches multiple times.

Here is the outer div tag

div class="field-slideshow field-slideshow-1 effect-fade timeout-4000 with-pager with-controls field-slideshow-processed" style="width: 220px; height: 113px; padding-right: 0px; position: relative;"

I do not have any image styles for the 220 x 113 size.

I did experiment with the #15 patch mentioned, but it did not help.

I apologize, this was my own error. I had a style resizing the image. Perfect I am not.

In field_slideshow.js on line 41 there is:

resizing: 0,

I changed it to (or you can add a line also)

slideResize: 0,

because jquery.cycle.all.js library doesn't look for any option named "resizing" and I have confirmed that setting slideResize to 0 (if not specified, it defaults to 1, enabled, which in turn adds inline css width/height attributes to elements) prevents inline css width/height to be declared
