Hello when I try to import a feed I get the following message on a clean installation of Drupal 6.15 with only Feeds and its dependancies installed. "Download of http://domain.com/feed failed with code 0"
Does anybody know how to track down why I get this error?

alex_b commentedStart looking in plugins/FeedsHTTPFetcher.inc in the fetch() method.

katsikas commentedSame issue here.
@alex_b what are we looking for in FeedsHTTPFetcher.inc?
alex_b commentedUm, I don't have any specifics. Just finding out why the heck the download failed and why 0 is returned.
redndahead commentedI was able to get mine to work by setting $accept_invalid_cert = 1; in libraries/http_request.inc line 173.
There doesn't seem to be a way to set the feed to ignore certificates in the UI. Am I missing something?
alex_b commented#4: so you're downloading a feed via HTTPs with an invalid certificate, right? This option could be exposed via FeedsHTTPFetcher (would require a modification to fetch(), configDefaults() and configForm()).
redndahead commentedCertificate seems like it's valid. You can go to the feed in the browser without a problem. Here is the feed in case it helps. https://my.ucmerced.edu/portal_comm_0_1/rss?catId=2000

redndahead commentedSo in this thread (http://www.phpbuilder.com/board/showthread.php?t=10328147) a user mentions that in windows the path to the local .crt file to verify against needs to be specified. This is not the case in linux. I am using solaris as my OS and although I haven't gone through the steps to verify this may be the case. Maybe the users above can specify what OS they are using?

manuj_78 commentedI am having similar issue - hence changing to issue
I have teh latest acquia drupal installed on a windows xp machine ... no other module installed..just ctools and feeds and whenever I try and create a feed I get the following error
* Download of http://drupal.org/node/feed failed with code 0.
* Could not retrieve title from feed.
alex_b commented#8: This is a different issue as it is not related to SSL at all (http://drupal.org/node/feed doesn't use httpS...) - please open a separate issue and explain which importer you are using. Thank you!
