I have a feed that creates users and updates their profile fields from a 3rd party API. I'd like to be able to allow them to change their username and email address. However, if they change any of the profile fields on the 3rd party system, when the feed updates the user in Drupal it will always overwrite the email and username back to what exists on the 3rd party system. Is the a way to exclude the username and email fields from feed update imports. I realize I can do this if I create 1 feed to create users and then a 2nd feed to update users (with the email and username excluded in the 2nd feed). I like to keep it to a single feed if those fields can just be excluded with code.

Thank You

Drupal 7 reached end of life and the D7 version of Feeds is no longer being developed. To keep the issue queue focused on supported versions, we’re closing older D7 issues.

If you still have questions about using Feeds on Drupal 7, feel free to ask. While we won’t fix D7 bugs anymore, we’re happy to offer guidance to help you move forward. You can do so by opening (or reopening) a D7 issue, or by reaching out in the #feeds channel on Drupal Slack.

If this issue is still relevant for Drupal 10+, please open a follow-up issue or merge request with proposed changes. Contributions are always welcome!
