I have been trying to import data from an xml file, everything works perfectly except the images. I tried to use different versions of the modules and different parsers and I always get the following error:

Exception: Download of
url/XXXXX.jpg
failed with code -1002. in /Users/.../sites/all/modules/feeds/plugins/FeedsParser.inc:438

Images never shown and I can see the correct image url when I use the "import preview" . I need to sort this out asap so any help is highly appreciated!

Thanks!
nicholas

When looking through the code, it appears that -1002 means that the URL is missing a 'scheme'. An example of a scheme is 'http'. With what scheme does the URL in question start?

Note: the error message could have been more descriptive. -1002 is very cryptic.

This patch should show a more constructive error message in your case.

This patch also applies the same error messages for the HTTP Fetcher. Furthermore, in case of an error it now throws a FeedsHTTPRequestException instead of a general exception.

@nicholascy86
What do you think of the error messages you get after you apply the patch? Are they any more informative to you?
