Hi,

Thanks for this module

Can you please make a stable release, This help for live site, we cannot use feeds in dev version, it's insane, and the dev branch change a lot, if we use this in 2 month is different, so please make a release tag. Could be a beta, or rc but please release something!

Thanks

ditto, this is a great module for sure and I know that everyone is working diligently. Need something stable to consume taxonomy on nodes.

It took 3 years to get a version of #1033202: [Meta] Generic entity processor committed and you want to push it to the stable release after < 2 weeks of testing with little/no feedback... because your hosting environment won't allow running dev modules?

Applying this update over previous patches requires reconfiguring Entity based processors. We've been using this approach for years and are still testing and documenting...

#2173293: Patch that adds entity support to Feeds finally committed. Needs to be tested & updated ASAP

Tagging a 2.x beta would trump the stable, 7.x-2.0-alpha8 release. If a 3.x branch was created as was discussed in https://drupal.org/comment/7705185#comment-7705185, additional releases could have been created. As you've already pointed out, this a major change. With > 62,000 sites using this module, it needs to be thoroughly tested and documented.

Yes I want a better support for this. This is not a normal module, and the last "tag" I'm not talking on a stable right know is from apr 2013 ... The reason is not "my environment wont allow me run a dev module" is We need a tag point more updated to start _new_ projects.

That's all.

And I think the 63k sites are using dev module ... and thats mean ... more unsecure that do a tag release that's point to save the code state .... if you dont get the point.

https://drupal.org/project/usage/feeds breaks the usage down by version. While this isn't 100% accurate and hasn't updated since the D7 D.O. upgrade, it's the best tool we have.

In October, 2013, 28,424 sites were running version 7.x-2.0-alpha8. Only 248 sites reported using the dev snapshot.

Will there be an alpha9 release before long? I don't know if killua99 is asking for a beta release, or just another alpha. The alpha8 version is almost a year old, and there have been numerous commits since then. You'll evidently have many more testers for the latest code if there is a new alpha:

In October, 2013, 28,424 sites were running version 7.x-2.0-alpha8. Only 248 sites reported using the dev snapshot.

Thanks

I can't imagine the herculean effort in maintaining feeds and so many branches (dev, alpha, etc.) but would be great if there were some insight for us mortal system builders in the project page. Release says alpha08 is recommended but seems a lot of patches and commits in dev and many people are using it. I do appreciate holding the QA line, but guidance would be great.

See #2290465: [Meta] Create beta 1 release. There are some things in dev that need to be polished. If an alpha9 release is made now, it's likely that some configurations will get broken by the time alpha10 or beta1 is released, most notably when the generic entity processor is used.
