Getting feeds to honor default input format?

How do I get feeds to honor a CCK fields default format on inport.

Say I have a cck text field (field_thoughts) and the default input format for this field is a filter I created called "swear filter".

When feeds imports to this cck field it does not import it using the "swear filter" it instead uses the "HTML Filter".

Is there any way around this behavior?
