I have looked through the Feeds plugins, but have not found something that does this, so I am wondering if anyone has tried it. Any pointers to more information or help is greatly appreciated!

I have a feed that gives me the title, publish date, and body for each feed item. Within the body of each feed item are standard elements (for example, issue date, name, location, type). Each of those elements may be followed by unique information, such as:

Feed item 1:
issue date: 2011-03-01
name: George
location: 10-EJ-450963-KB-TRM
type: recurring

Feed item 2:
issue date: 2011-03-01
name: Fido
location: 10-YB-330867-RT-CVF
type: recurring

etc.

I want to be able to pull out one of those items (say, location) and add it as a field to be displayed (via Views) with the title and publish date of the feed item.

Since the data is coming through as plain text in the "body" of the feed, xpath parser won't work. I'm thinking I need something that will grab anything in the feed item body that follows "location:" (using the above example) to the end of the line, and consider it field content (of course, assuming there is a "location" field within the feed item content type that it can be mapped to).

Has anything like this been done?

Thanks,
Carol
