So I made a module that defines a content type (along with custom functionality for that type). It uses CCK groups and fields. I then discovered Features and have decided to convert my module to use it.

I've run into a few issues, one of which is that if I try to save a Feature containing the CCK groups and fields it will only save the field data and not the groups. Noting that in the list of components to export when creating the Feature, I then exported all the group and field definitions via the CCK export function and then imported them into a newly created content type (not defined by a module). I then created a Feature using those fields, as well as selecting the newly created content type, and then the field group definitions are included. Maybe this is by design; if so maybe it shouldn't be...

In fact, in my case the fieldgroup was not stored properly if their is a flexifield inside.
So here is how I have resolve this issue:
1) From the website where the content is created:
- Move the flexifield outsite the group
- Create the features of this content type (I also have include the other content type which is linked through the flexifield)
2) On the other website where I would like to add this feature
- Extract content of the features in sites/all/modules/my_features
- Enable this feature
- Move the flexifield insite the group
- Recreate the features
- Extract and overwrite the features files in sites/all/modules/my_features

Don't know why it wasn't working at the beginning. Maybe some some changes is the content type.

not a fix to the bug, but a temporary solution for support requests.
