Working on the "exportable entity" integration for the entity API I need a way to implement features integration on top of other modules. Obviously I dislike using eval to register dynamic functions, so what about introducing a callback 'base' to avoid such hacks?

In the meanwhile I implemented the entity exportables integration based upon this patch, see #920396: integrate exportables with features.
During development I stumbled over a small issue with the patch, what the attached version fixes.
