When using the product content type from Ubercart (any other content type created by a module would be an example as well), the option is there to select the CCK fields to include which works great, however there is no way to select and export the fieldgroups these fields are contained in. I assume the fix would be similar to #872052: CCK fields UI export options

You can add it manually to the feature's .info file, (see api.txt) or when re/creating the feature, you'd use to be able to add the node type and it'd add the extras (fieldgroups, content) if node type is owned by someone else (haven't used that screen in a bit).
