When I run drush up on sites that include updates to features (in this case from 6.x-1.0-beta8 to 6.x-1.0), I get the following error after all of the downloads complete and before drush gets to the Drupal core or database updates:
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function features_include_defaults() in /.../sites/all/modules/features/features.export.inc on line 589
Fatal error: Call to undefined function features_include_defaults() in /...l/sites/all/modules/features/features.export.inc on line 589
Drush command could not be completed. [error]
Running drush up again runs the core and database updates successfully. Not sure if this belongs here or in Drush, so feel free to move it as needed.

manuel garcia commentedYup, just confirming, I also found this.
I then ran update db the normal way, and it looked fine. So far I haven't found any other errors using the site.

thinkling commentedI saw the same error. I ran 'drush up' for all modules and it looks like the error came while drush was updating zen. (Odd?) Zen was not updated from 1.0 to 1.1 afterwards; all the other modules in the batch had been updated.
I next ran drush updatedb and did not see features appear, so I checked features.install newest update hook (6101) against the system table, and found that they match.
Next running drush update zen produced no errors.

jonhattanI think this is the same problem as in #921116-18: drush updatecode should fork to a backend process to avoid problems
