I have a feature developed that is functioning well with no error messages. My problem comes when I try to recreate it.(incorporating the adjustments etc.) I get this error message at the top Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ')' in /.../profiles/openatrium/modules/contrib/features/features.export.inc(590) : eval()'d code on line 5
I also get this warning in a pink box: warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /.../profiles/openatrium/modules/contrib/features/features.export.inc(590) : eval()'d code:5) in /.../includes/common.inc on line 148.
Also when going to /admin/build/features The feature state for this always says checking no matter how long I'm on the page.
Interestingly enough even if I disable the feature it never changes its "checking" state
The other way to recreate or update this feature is using "drush features-update my-feature"
In this case my error is alot more severe I lose the website and get this as an error message.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ')' in .../sites/all/modules/feature_image_gallery/feature_image_gallery.defaults.inc on line 11
This is the before and after drush features-update command to the feature_image_gallery.defaults.inc file
/**
*
Helper to implementation of hook_ctools_plugin_api().
*/
function _feature_image_gallery_ctools_plugin_api() {
$args = func_get_args();
$module = array_shift($args);
$api = array_shift($args);
if ($module == "strongarm" && $api == "strongarm") {
return array("version" => 1);
}
}
to this
/**
*
Helper to implementation of hook_ctools_plugin_api().
*/
function _feature_image_gallery_ctools_plugin_api() {
$args = func_get_args();
$module = array_shift($args);
$api = array_shift($args);
if ($module == "" && $api == "") {
return array("version" => ); /** line 11 */
}
else if ($module == "strongarm" && $api == "strongarm") {
return array("version" => 1);
}
}

irakli commentedHave you tempered with the .info file with manual code changes? I've seen such error messages when some part of the feature is removed but Features does not fully realize it is gone and creates "partial code.
The "solution" in my case was to go into the feature code and fix the exported code manually.

yhahn commentedI believed this is fixed in the latest version of Features.
