We should add validation checks at various points -- e.g. that the module name chosen doesn't conflict with any modules present.

As part of the machine readable name ticket you should probably actually validate that the machine readable name is going to be valid.

Right now if I typed in "ALKJv '1 asflas- fds" it would work : P
