When I try to download fckeditor, it takes me to the ckeditor.com
I'm unable to get the WYSWYG API to recognize the fckeditor install,
I also tried the ckeditor, which appears like one of the developers created
a new domain and product?

FCKeditor (Download) Not installed.
The version of FCKeditor could not be detected.

Extract the archive and copy its contents into a new folder in the following location:
sites/all/libraries/fckeditor

So the actual library can be found at:
sites/all/libraries/fckeditor/fckeditor.js

Are you sure you're reporting this issue at the right issue tracker? I think you need to report this at http://drupal.org/project/wysiwyg. CKeditor is the successor of FCKeditor.
