Drupal 6.13, using FCKeditor and IMCE.

Is there a way to skip or turn off the FCKeditor file browser ("browse server" button) and use just the IMCE interface? i.e., in the text editor, user clicks the "insert/edit image" button and the IMCE interface pops up.

This is not the way it works at this moment, and it will not be in the future. The dialog is there to allow users to change width/height and other parameters.

That's a shame. For such a user-friendly text editor to have such a non user-friendly image interface, it doesn't really make sense. Should at least be an option.

Is there an old-fashioned directory tree browser? I need a "file cabinet" where user can created folders, upload and download files to and from. This is for a collaborative project. It would be nice to have the optional button to a CKEditor with all its capabilities. But, why do I have to have multilingual, non-geeky membership study the full-fledged interface of an app like CKEditor and find they have to click on a paperclip to be presented with another array of choices and settings? Tell me there is a simple directory tree module somewhere in here, please ...
