Hi I'm a newbie so apologies if this is something simple.

I've downloaded the FCK editor and gone through all the steps in the readme.txt file for installation,

The Editor works for text and I can upload image files to my server but i just can't get the images to show up on my website.

I've looked through many forums and have adjusted my config.php file, my settings.php, cookie settings and have downloaded IMCE in the hope of seeing my images on my site but alas nothing. I've tried for 2 days and am now hairless and in need of help!

I've also cleared my cache a fair few times along the way.

If anyone has any recommendations I'd appreciate them!

cheers

Hi Slobodan

Thanks for the reply

I removed all the folders and reinstalled the new ones as shown but I can have uninstalled them properly as text I included on the editor earlier keeps returning even when I've deleted it.

Any ideas on uninstalling this properly, i'll get there in the end!!

cheers

You don`t need uninstall only run Update.php
If I understood you was remove fckeditor folder 6x-1.2 and upload to new release. Am I right? If so, run update and your site will be just fine.

text I included on the editor earlier keeps returning even when I've deleted it

If you can not upload well via ftp, try to rename folder. And try uploading again. Don`t worry about MySql. This is reason why we have update.php
Sorry I can not figure out what is exactly your issue.

Hi Slobodan

Thanks for trying to help, in the end I installed drupal version 5 and although I had to follow the instructions here http://drupal.org/node/209794 to get it working using both the fckeditor and IMCE and it's fine now. Yippeee!!!

I had used these instructions for drupal version 6 as well but it still wouldn't load.

Am loving Drupal just need to get it going and get used to it!!!

cheers

For Drupal 6 you don`t need any set up:) So if you make it, load back your set up, or simply upload again default connectors.
Hope you will make it;)

Thanks for the tip slobodan but whilst I have something working i'm going to stick with it. Once I get to know Drupal a bit better i'll upgrade.

Thanks again for your help!
