What was your resolution?

OK, i was able to fix this problem. I'm not sure if this is the correct way, but it worked for me.

Here's the background on what i was doing...

I upgraded from drupal-5.2 to drupal-5.5. my upgrade was a little different in that I had a lot of crufty modules in my 5.2 install, so i installed 5.5 to a new directory, then copied over the settings.php and ran the upgrade script. Note at this point, the fckeditor module was not installed.

When installing the latest fckeditor, when i copied the files into place, when i went to the "modules" page, it showed that the fckeditor module was already installed, but the "FCKEditor" admin page did not appear under the "Administer" menu. I had to disable the fckeditor module from the "Modules" page, click save, then enable the fckeditor module, then save again.

The "FCKEditor" admin page now showed up, but I was getting the error described in the beginning of this ticket.

It looked like the fckeditor hook_install wasn't being run properly, so I forced the module to re-install. I did this by disabling the module in the admin page, then removing the fckeditor row from the system table, then re-enabling the module again.

works now! woohoo!

I just ran the update.php and it checked the tables and added what was missing (FCKEditor).
