All FBConnect-rendered buttons seem to mysteriously no longer be working. This seems to be the case across several sites I have that are using the dev version of this module. The 'Connect' buttons are also not rendered in the module's admin pages. The blue FB loader .gif runs for half a second and then I have an empty area where the button should be. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Brad

For anyone else who may be experiencing this issue, it appears to be a FB issue, not an issue with the module...

However, just a note. I haven't looked at 6.x branch, but there is http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/fbml/

FBML has been deprecated. Starting June 1, 2012 FBML apps will no longer work as all FBML endpoints will be removed. If you are building a new application on Facebook.com, please implement your application using HTML, JavaScript and CSS. You can use our JavaScript SDK and Social Plugins to embedded many of the same social features available in FBML.

It'd be a good idea to do an overall check.

The facebook bug is now Assigned with High priority.. they are working for us...

What about a new realease of FB connect module with the new HTML5 button? News?

@jcisio Right. I am wondering if this outage isn't due to some sort of testing on FB's side that got away from them, as it seems to be exactly that: an outage of any FBML-related features. I'm not sure what it would take to refactor the 6.x branch of the module to make it compatible with the FBML deprecation, but I'm sure there's sufficient interest in it. I'd be willing to look over the module and see where it would need to be patched since the 6.x branch is no longer maintained.

@fabiolool If you're talking about the 6.x branch, you definitely won't see anything forthcoming from the module maintainers/devs. They state on the module's page that they're no longer maintaining the 6.x branch; that is, unless a non-maintainer has undertaken the task.
