I did this with
isset($user->fbu)
but this variable isn't set anymore in the newest version. I didn't find any real alternative. (fb_get_fbu()?, isset($fb_app)?). What is the best practice to do this?

fb_facebook_user() will return a fbu (user id on facebook), only when the user is both logged into facebook and has authorized the application.
