Anclywen commentedAs far as i know Facebook chat is normal jabber server (maybe a little limited in functionality).
So what should be do is the integration with the jabber client.
Is there any good jabber client in Drupal?

Dave Cohen commentedI was once under the impression that there was an easy way to add a page footer similar to what's on facebook.com. I can't seem to find it, so maybe that was my imagination.
Did find this, though: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/chat

dhon commentedthinking about this line on their doc "This tag renders a list of the current user's friends on your canvas page". Does that mean the user can only see his/her friends on the chat list that has account on your canvas page??? What would I like is he/she can see all those friends that are online even his/her friends has no account in the page. I hope you can may help me with that.. thanks!

Dave Cohen commentedI'm closing this issue because it is really old, and has grown spam.
If anyone wants to persue facebook chat, give their latest documentation a read: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/chat/
I think is a candidate for a new module, i.e. fbchat, that uses modules/fb as a dependency.
