I hope I am not missing something obvious, but I have looked into all the documentation, and have come up short.
I have all modules installed, and have have check checked my API and secret information.
I am able to make API calls, but I am not able to modify the Facebook permissions of a user.
Below is the error I receive when clicking on users edit page, and then the applications name to edit permissions.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function fb_is_fbml_canvas() in /var/www/modules/fb/contrib/fb_permission.module on line 114
MySQL = 5.1.37
PHP = 5.2.10-2ubuntu6.4

chitownguy commentedAhhh... Just looked at the info and found the TODO. So this contrib hasn't been updated either. I need this module so I am going to see if I can make a patch, wish me luck. :-)

chitownguy commentedJust read this on Facebook Dev site so I am going to really be moving on this.
"Note: Starting June 30, 2010, all applications will be able to access only a user's public data unless the user grants your application the extended permissions it needs. Read the upgrade guide for details."
Where was the fb_is_fbml_canvas() located, and what did it do?
I can only assume that it was used to tell between canvas pages and connect pages.
Also, where can I find the call below in the fb module?

Dave Cohen commentedThe 3x version does not support FBML canvas pages. So code as if fb_is_fbml_canvas() == FALSE.
All the oauth stuff is taken care of by facebook's php sdk. Those things are not called explicitly in modules/fb.

chitownguy commentedThank you Dave for being so responsive!
Actually found a really quick way to access extended permissions.
Within the code to creating a facebook login button you can request all extended permissions you need. (see code below)
Hope this is helpful, because the 30th is coming quick.

thedavidmeister commentedThis looks like a solution was found here, and it was only relevant to FBML which is no longer supported by fb.
