The text line is limited.
It would be nice to have the text line be a text area like http://drupal.org/project/statuses
and allow for a wysiwyg editor
it would be nice if the summary text would automatically be inserted and a link to the node

You might be able to do this via hook_form_alter(). Or patch the fb_post.module and I'd promote the patch. I think you'd be changing

    $form['message'] = array(
      '#type' => 'textfield',
      '#title' => 'Message',
      '#default_value' => $defaults['message'],
      '#description' => 'A brief message to precede the link.',                              
    );

into

    $form['message'] = array(
      '#type' => 'textarea',
      '#rows' => 3,
      '#wysiwyg' => TRUE,
      '#title' => 'Message',
      '#default_value' => $defaults['message'],
      '#description' => 'A brief message to precede the link.',                              
    );

You could save me some time to test whether that works and let me know. Thanks.

UPDATE: actually, I don't think wysiwyg makes sense here. I believe facebook will strip all markup from the message. Am I wrong about taht?
