In the additional modules there is this code, below, but it messes up my theme, how do I change the location so the like button is somewhere else other than the bottom of the page
function fb_example_link($type, $object, $teaser = FALSE) {
if ($type == 'node' && !$teaser) {
$items = array();
if (variable_get('fb_example_link_add_like', TRUE)) { // Switch to control this behavior.
$url = fb_scrub_urls(url('node/' . $object->nid, array('absolute' => TRUE)));
$items['dff_like'] = array(
'title' => "nid\" href={$url}>",
'html' => TRUE,
);
}
return $items;
}
}
Thanks

Dave Cohen commentedfb_example.module contains example snippets of code. Don't enable that module. Instead, copy the snippets into your own custom module, and customize as needed for your site. You can find documentation elsewhere on drupal.org how to make the markup appear where you need it on your site.
Feel free to share your work here or even provide patches to fb_example.module if you can. That way others can benefit from your example.
