Hi, I have played around a bit with fb now on d6 and see some errors with regards to Facebook SSL CERT. E.g. when the script try to fetch extended permission or if fb devel module is on.

Anyone seen anything like this or have any clue on where the issue could be? I'm running this instance on test xampp installation with latest tagged instance of the php-fb-sdk.

Error look like this in the case of extended permission (when I press Save in the FBEdit form):

Failed to get app properties for mytestapp: SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK. Details: error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed 60

CurlException: 60: SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK. Details:
error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed

in fb.module, search for CURLOPT_SSL and un-comment the two lines, should be around line 350. Does that solve the problem?

Hi Dave, yes, uncommenting the 3 lines fixed the issue. Could it be caused by my firewall blocked the CA?

I don't know why some installs need that and others don't. I assume an underlying problem on facebook's end with their certs.

Anyway here's the patch that will probably make it into next release.
