Create a new log type that is linked to Farm Assets to record how the asset was acquired.

Fields:

  • Asset reference field
  • Date acquired
  • Source - text field (optional)
  • Quantity - quantity field collection (optional)
  • Cost - fraction field(optional)
  • Notes

It should have a Cost field (Fraction with decimal widget), which is optional, to record the price paid for the asset.

A "Disposition" field might be desirable too - to indicate when and circumstances the asset left the farm. (Animal is lost by "escape, coyote kill, ...", or animal is sold, gifted, slaughtered, traded, ... or animal is found dead.)

Please take a look at my first comment in that issue, too... I'd like to get your thoughts on whether or not we may need more than one type of log for recording asset disposition... hopefully not.
