I made a mistake. I created my first FAQ content BEFORE I realized that I wanted to change the Answer field type from "long text and summary" to just "long text".
When I tried to change the field type setting, I got the message that it can’t be done after content has been created.
Tried deleting the content, no help.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the module, no help.
I’m sure the answer lies in editing the database after uninstalling the module, but I’m not sure.
Is it possible to start fresh?
My FAQ answers are all quite short, and I don’t want the "read more" link to appear, since it will never be needed.
Hope you can help. And thanks for a very useful module. I’ve used it before.

I'm afraid that editing the type of Answer field is not possible, since the field is actually the body field which is attached to every content type by default.
I would recommend you, altering the template file which is used to render the page.

I have checked your issue and found that in the FAQ module the answer field is basically a body field. They just changed its label to 'answer' so you cannot edit the field settings as this is a common field used by other content types as well . So deleting your FAQ content or uninstalling the module not make any sense here.
If you still want then you need to delete your answer field and create a new field of type 'Long Text' .
