Problem/Motivation

When doing an accessibility review using Siteimprove, it's being reported that while using mailto label settings and setting it to the default "(link sends email)", it is flagged with "Visible label and accessible name do not match". Is there a configuration setting that can avoid this issue?

Steps to reproduce

In the External links settings have the following enabled

  • Place an icon next to mailto links
  • mailto: label = (link sends email)
  • Do not alter the title attribute on links

Code that's generated:

<a class="mailto" data-extlink aria-label="(link sends email)" href="mailto:mail@mail.email">
mail@mail.email
<span class="fa-mailto extlink" role="img" aria-hidden="true">
<svg class="svg-inline--fa fa-envelope" data-extlink-placement="append" aria-hidden="true" focusable="false" data-prefix="far" data-icon="envelope" role="img" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" viewBox="0 0 512 512" data-fa-i2svg>  </svg>
</span>
</a>

The best solution to avoid this issue is to disable the icon setting, but what if we wanted to use it?
