I'm troubleshooting an issue where my users are reporting that certain nodes, whose titles they are excluding, are losing the setting to exclude the title.

In attempting to figure out the issue, I looked at each revision in the revision log for those nodes. For all the nodes that were reported to have lost their node exclude setting, each revision of that node showed the title.

I concluded that the content creators simply had forgotten to check the box for those nodes when they originally created them, and jumped to the conclusion that the nodes had somehow lost those settings on their own.

However, I wanted to double-check my reasoning, so in a development environment, I took an existing node, and toggled the "exclude title" on and off several times, with a save after each toggle. That means that every other revision of the node had the title excluded.

However, when I looked at the revision history of the node, and opened each revision, they all displayed the title, regardless of the exclude title settings. I am certain that the revision did not accurately save the exclude title setting, because I also changed the title , depending on whether I had the title showing, or excluded. No matter how I set the node title setting, I was never able to get any revision to show without the title. I can only conclude that the title excluded information is not saved in the revision information, so revisions always show titles, regardless of the actual setting of that revisions.

This makes it very difficult to accurately debug problems with title exclusions.
