Incredibly and joyfully, #934050: Change format into string went in, and filter format IDs are now strings. We should definitely change the filter example to use descriptive names.

I can't see any references to the .format machine name in the filter example module: http://api.drupal.org/api/drupal/developer--examples--filter_example--fi...

Non-issue? Please reopen if I am missing something.

I guess you're right. I'm assuming that filters will now have the name in the key they're defined with... (Haven't looked at this closely)
