Unfortunately, the last patch removed the function node_example_node_info(). See diff between 1.7 and 1.6 versions of node_example.module

This hook is required for proper operation of core functions as _node_types_build()

Shoot - the discussion about this is in #902740: Dont use hook_node_info and #755640: HEAD Broken on node_example module - core shift?.

Could you please elaborate? Probably you should reopen #902740: Dont use hook_node_info. According to chx, hook_node_info() is obsolete.
