Problem/Motivation

The hooks_example module contains three hook implementations for hooks used by Drupal core, and a custom hook implementation. They can all be implemented in other example modules; in particular, there could be a better example of a custom hook in the main module, used to gather information about the installed example modules and their main pages.

Proposed resolution

Remove the hooks_example module.
