The Event repeat module doesn't create events for future years.
It creates only nodes pertaining to current year and first month(january) of next year.

If the start date is 01-01-2009 and real time year is 2009, then all nodes of year 2009 are created with repeat frequency = weekly.

If start date is 01-01-2010 and real time year is 2010, then only nodes for January 2010 are created.
No other nodes are created.

This issue is being closed due to age and/or version. If this issue is still valid, please reopen it against the 6.x-1.x branch and update it. There will be no more follow ups against the 5.x branches.
