I have noticed that if I select a day with an event and then change month the same day remains selected: is this behaviour normal? Shouldn't it be promoted to 'unselected'?

Event for Drupal 8 is unrelated to older versions. If an issue similar to this one exists, please open a new issue with the 8.x branch.
