Hi killes

This patch offers the option of abbreviating the weekday names to their first letter, so instead of Sun Mon Tue etc you get S M T W T F S or M T W T F S S
I thought it was just for the block, but it shows in the page view as well.

I decided to do this in preparation for trying to get the event block to fit a narrower space

Event for Drupal 8 is unrelated to older versions. If an issue similar to this one exists, please open a new issue with the 8.x branch.
