In less then 3 month the table "cache_entityconnect" was growing to a size of 1.48GB! Had to deinstall the module to get my page working again.

I'm having this same issue, database grew from 5MB to 1.1GB within a month of activating this module. Is anyone aware of a fix?

Since 2015, in both 1.x and 2.x you can find a config for that in `admin/config/content/entityconnect` and set `Entity Connect cache lifetime`.

Thank You jygastaud, this is a important hint. I havn't paid attention to any of these settings. Maybe it would be a good idea to set a default-value other then 0 because the huge cache-table could actually tear down a whole page.
