entity_browser_task

When using the Upload images as media item widget,
you can set
Upload location
and
Allowed extensions.

I don't think this is entirely correct:

  1. A media object can have multiple image fields, so you should be able to select an image field after selecting the Media type.
  2. Allowed extensions and Upload location shouldn't be used on this form, as these settings should be taken from the image field.
  3. The image field can also have Maximum image dimensions and other settings that are currently not recognized by the entity_browser module.

Sollution.

Patch made with Deep seek attached.

After the patch its possible to select any image field for media type.

  • Maximum image dimensions
  • Allowed extensions
  • Upload location settings

will be taken from this image field.

Problems I know about:

  1. If you upload multiple files, including files with invalid extensions, none of the files will be uploaded.
  2. Image resizing occurs after you select it, not after it's uploaded. Be sure to configure the maximum upload file size in the server settings.
  3. It would be nice if after uploading files (and before selecting them) validation information about each file was shown.
