I am using D6.9
I added the embedded video field to the blog content-type, fed it a known-good Youtube url:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThPwmz5fD2s
which errored:
You have specified an invalid media URL or embed code.
Then I added an embed string for that clip, with the same error resulting.
I bet this is a config problem, but Im not sure where to look.
Thanks for any help

perandre commentedSame problem here with D6.10.
perandre commentedI tested with other providers, too; no luck.
perandre commentedWow, enabling the video providers on /admin/content/emfield really helps...

ScubaAdam commentedThis doesn't work for me. I just get:
Embedded Video Field
The following settings configure content with any fields controlled by Embedded Video Field.
Providers
The following settings determine what providers are allowed, and what provider-specific options, if any, are set.
No mention of any providers to enable... Can someone point me in the right direction? Same problem as all above, invalid embed code/url when trying to add youtube movies... The code is correct, unless my computer has forgotten how to copy/paste.......
Waiting for that yeeeehaaaaa(!) moment.
Cheers!

James Andres commentedI just ran into the same issue, and realized I didn't read the docs very thoroughly :-/. All you need to do is download the required media_* modules (eg: media_youtube). These "media" modules are the providers.
