i don't know much about SEO (i work primarily on intranet sites), can you explain how this module relates to SEO?

Sure. The module adds rel="nofollow" to external links. It's my favorite module feature, by the way.

nofollow is a value that can be assigned to the rel attribute of an HTML a element to instruct some search engines that a hyperlink should not influence the link target's ranking in the search engine's index.

ah ok, i forgot about that. The core url converter does that also, but for all links. I'll add the tag. Thanks for the explanation.

Yes. the core 'Limit allowed HTML tags ' filter also does that, but entering allowed HTML tags is required. It's not very convenient, especially If I don't want to filter tags. That's why ELF is better.
