Now that major development efforts are complete in Edit module in D8, it makes sense to backport these things to D7, and make a stable release of Edit module!

We are not working on this quite yet, but making the issue for it nonetheless. And, alas, this is blocked on #2111661: Perform technical investigation to verify whether TempStore-powered Edit in D7 is actually possible.

Includes Drupal 8's EditLoadingTest, which provides pretty complete test coverage.
