Whatever I do, I can't get "registered only" policy working. I have tried anything that came up to my mind with no success. Of course, I can replicate without any problems in the following way:
Vanilla install of Drupal 5.10 (5.9 the same)
Vanilla install of eCommerce 3.4 (3.3 the same)
enable Token + eCommerce + anounymous purchasing policy (as prescribed in the installation tutorial on the Drupal eCommerce site)
enable Tanglible product (so that I can create a product)
enable Address module in eCommerce
enable C.O.D. in eCommerce (and give all the users permission to use it)
Then I create a single tangible product.
By default "flexible" purchase policy is set. This work without any problem when I check out either as an anonymous buyer or I register.
When I set prurchase policy to "registered only", everything breaks. Upon checking out (and registering) I am asked neither for my address nor for the payment method. I just get "Your cart is empty, you can continue shopping...".
If I repeat my selection (as a registered and authenticated user) and check out, everything is just OK.
The problem is solely with an anonymous purchaser who registers upon checking out.

Robert_SK commentedFurther investigation has shown that the problem occurs after an upgrade from Drupal 5.8 to 5.9.
